Do not name the generator: instead of using “ChatGPT” for example, use “text generator”, “generator”, “it”
Do not use the word “tool”, tools are useful when used. Thing is too vague.
Be careful about qualifying them as ‘parrots’ as while parrots do echo syntax without semantics — similarly to what SoTA text generators are doing —, in people minds, the lack of semantics in utterances from parrots are not immediately evident.
It does not write, invent, or think. It “spawns words”, “reproduces texts”, “generates”, “makes (up?) sentences.”
“Spawn” is the one I like the most as it emphasizes the lack of thinking — as there is none — behind the text generation.
